Her smile is infectious, although she wears it with pain! Meet Kasia!
Her nickname - firecracker - was given to her by her friends and family. She faces challenges and overcomes difficulties with a smile on her face. Despite the disease and its many side effects, she tries to live a happy life. Her positive attitude infects people around her! Kasia suffers from cerebral palsy, which has caused mobility issues, arm weakness, and breathing difficulties. However, that doesn’t stop her from staying active - she studies psychology and participates in European Union projects promoting the social inclusion of people with disabilities. She even designs her clothes! She is involved in charity work and has been setting up her foundation called "Wspieramy, nie wyręczamy" (eng. Support but do not help out). She also needs help, though. Using a wheelchair is inconvenient for her, taking into account her active lifestyle. Although she receives much help from her parents and has an assistant accompanying her during her trips, she could use a specialized shock-absorbing wheelchair that provides comfort, doesn't fall over, and can be propelled with only one hand! She would also require a portable platform lift for wheelchair access that folds down for transportation. Kasia lives life to the fullest. She spends her free time practicing wall climbing! She's persistent in improving her fitness and muscle strength. She could be a role model - despite her disease, she doesn't give up! Everyone who meets her doesn't have a clue how much she suffers and how challenging she finds being dependent on others. New medical equipment would allow her to continue her activities! Unfortunately, it is expensive, and we cannot afford it. We are asking you to support Kasia, a good and empathetic person who, despite difficulties, helps others! We believe that your donations can help her, too! Open your hearts - your kind gesture means the world to her. Friends and family
