Poland IS FIGHTING against the floods! Help is needed NOW!
UPDATE - September, 19th The First Batch of Aid is Already Reaching Those in Need! Dear Friends, What is happening has exceeded our expectations – your engagement is MASSIVE! We are proud that in the face of tragedy, we, Poles, once again show that we have strength and enormous hearts ready to help those in need. Thank you. This is just the beginning, but the first batch of aid has already been sent to those in need! Here’s what we’ve been able to accomplish thanks to you: 1️⃣ The Kłodzko Volunteer Fire Department (OSP) will receive 24 generators, 24 water pumps, shears, saws, hydraulic devices, and hydraulic and pneumatic hoses. 2️⃣ The Prudnik Municipality will receive 10 dehumidifiers to help extract moisture from walls. 3️⃣ The Żelazno Volunteer Fire Department (OSP) will receive equipment to help deal with the aftermath of the flood. 4️⃣ A large power generator will be sent to the Lower Ścinawka Volunteer Fire Department (OSP). 5️⃣ We will support the rebuilding of Public Kindergarten No. 1 in Kłodzko, along with the playground, and provide new stoves and kitchen equipment. Smaller villages, local councils, and preschools that lost everything overnight have also reached out to us for help – we are in constant contact with them. The coming days will involve assessing the damage, but one thing is certain – they will receive help! We are, of course, planning long-term aid for rebuilding the destroyed villages and towns. Once again, we want to emphasize – we are incredibly proud and in awe of your mobilization – you are amazing! The scale of destruction is vast, which means that funds for rebuilding are still desperately needed. Therefore, from the bottom of our hearts, we thank you for your support so far and at the same time ask – let’s not stop helping, we still have a lot to do. Thank you for your help! Together, we have GREAT POWER! Siepomaga _______________________________________________The situation is becoming more and more dramatic. There has been a heroic battle against a natural disaster for the past few days. An intense downpour has been flooding the cities. People are being evacuated. They lose their homes and belongings. The worst fears were realized... The embankments are no longer effective - water gets everywhere, destroying everything on its way. Currently, the most vulnerable voivodeships are Lower-Silesia, Opolskie, and Silesia. The most affected cities are Kłodzko and Głuchołazy - their situation changes for the worse day by day. Last weekend, water penetrated the flood banks and flooded the streets and buildings. The rain that fell in the past few days can be compared to a six-month amount! The inhabitants cannot sleep at night, scared of water breaking into their homes. There have been ongoing evacuations. The firefighters have received thousands of calls for help around the country. Some places are inaccessible due to massive floods, though. The situation has become dramatic. No one knows what will happen next. In many towns and cities, rain has been falling constantly. The next couple of days will be crucial. Please support the national fundraiser for the flood victims. We have been monitoring their situation and reaching out to those who need help the most. 100% of your donations will be allocated to support the flood victims.
